Featured here is an actual double seat section removed from Soldier Field shortly before the Denver Broncos' longtime home was demolished in 2002. The two plastic seatbacks are numbered "4" and "5" with a nameplate that gives the history of Mile High and the teams that played there. A red orange and blue pennant design appears on the side of the row-end seat. Besides the Broncos (1960-2000) the Colorado Rockies (1993-94) and Colorado Rapids (1996-2001) of the MLS called it home. The stadium opened in 1948 as home to the Denver Bears (AAA) minor league baseball team and eventually expanded to allow the Broncos to become tenants for their inaugural season in the AFL. The Rockies joined Major league Baseball in 1993 and broke MLB attendence records in their two years there before moving to Coors Field. Attached to a metal base and frame the plastic seatbacks are near pristine and may have been upgraded towards the end of Mile High's Broncos/Rapids tenure. Overall it comes in NM condition.
