Philip Henry "Phil" Niekro AKA "Knucksie" played 24 seasons in major league baseball 1964-87 his first 20 of them for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves. Neikro is the last pitcher to win and lose 20 games in the same season a feat he accomplished twice in his career. Phil was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997 in part because of his 317 career wins. Coupled with 221 wins by his brother Joe they hold the record for wins by brothers (539) for a career. These blue Adidas spikes show signs of heavy game use. There still pitching mound dirt around the cleats and plenty of infield dust to discolor the white shoelaces and the distinctive Adidas stripes. On the heal of the left show the number "35" in black ink is faint but still visible. While there is heavy use the condition of the shoes still present very nice with no major defects.
