This yellow game-worn Los Angeles Lakers home jersey was worn by James Worthy during the 1987-88 season yet another NBA Championship campaign and in fact the second consecutive world title for the club and its third in the previous four seasons. It was a fairly prototypical year for the quiet star as he averaged nearly 20 ppg. The jersey features LAKERS across the chest WORTHY across the back and his number 42 on both sides in purple-on-white tackle twill with slight toning of the white tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a "Tiernan" tag at the very center near the hem. The jersey shows evidence of light game use; Worthy has added a striking black marker signature on the front on the white tackle twill portion of the "2" on his uniform number adding the "#42" inscription.
