May 6 1914 Charles "Chick" Evans signed postcard signed in 7/10 looking vintage black ink. Evans was the top amateur golfer of his era when in 1916 he won both the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur tournaments. Up till that time no other golfer had won both championships in the same year. Only the legendary Bobby Jones has done it since. Postcard his 1913-14 Christmas card a 3 1/2" by 3" vintage photo a newspaper article listing all his golfing accomplishments and a newspaper article listing the "Revised Rules For Graceful Golf" all glued onto a 12" by 16" piece of black cardboard.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
