Offered here is a May 4th, 1970 "Boston's Mighty Orr" Sports Illustrated magazine encapsulated by CGC with a 9.0 Very Fine/Near Mint grade. The magazine features a brave, helmet-less Bobby Orr skating during a game. This is the only "Universal" 9.0 (the other is "qualified"), making it the finest known example. For context, the next closet non-qualified grade is 7.0 Fine/VF. Orr played ten glorious seasons with the Boston Bruins, earning the Calder Trophy his rookie year of 1966-67, three Hart trophies as league MVP, nine All-Star selections, and an unprecedented eight straight Norris trophies as the NHL's top defenseman.
