Oscar De La Hoya defeated 17 world champions on his way to winning titles in 6 different weight classes. 30 of his 39 wins were by knockout against only 6 losses. In 1992 Oscar lived up to his nickname of "The Golden Boy" by winning Olympic gold in Barcelona in the Lightweight division. De La Hoya's final fight and ultimate defeat came at the hands of Manny Pacquiao on December 6 2008. The torch was officially passed to Pacquiao who has became champion in 8 different weight classes. Holding a 57- career record the Pacman's biggest fight yet awaits him on May 2nd against the undefeated Floyd Mayweather.
Presented here are two pairs of gloves from each of these boxing legends. De La Hoya gloves has dual-signed a pair of red Everlast gloves in black felt pen adding "To Craig [Hamilton?]: from one champ to another" on both with "2003" [year signed] added on the right. The autograph and inscriptions rates a 8-9/10. Pacquiao has dual-signed a black pair of Cleto Reyes gloves in silver marker using "Manny Pacman" for short. The silver autograph against the black backdrop shines to an immaculate 10/10.
