Two bigger names that Gehrig and Ruth in the annals of Major League Baseball would be tough to find. The longtime New York Yankees teammates and notable home run sluggers brought a combined seven World Series titles to the Bronx Bombers. They also combined for 1207 round-trippers. This lot features an incredible 20 by 16 black-and-white photo showing the dynamic duo in road grays with lumber in hand on the steps of the dugout. The beautifully framed and matted piece which measures 31 wide by 37 high also includes a pair of PSA-certified signatures from the two diamond legends. The Gehrig autograph is a cut signature while the Ruth signature adorns the back of a complete postcard. The frame includes a specially engraved silver-and-black plaque thats aptly titled: NEW YORK YANKEES LOU GEHRIG & BABE RUTH The Iron Horse & The Sultan of Swat. A phenomenal piece of sports memorabilia for any baseball or New York Yankees collector.
