Rare lot of 6 single signed tennis balls from the sports most accomplished players in the 1960's and 70's including three members of the International Tennis Hall of Fame: Billy Jean King Rod Laver and Roy Emerson. Also included are Owen Davidson Bob Lutz and Marty Riessen. All autographs are 6-8/10 in black felt tip marker.

Billy Jean King won 12 women's singles majors including 7 Wimbledons. She also won 16 women's doubles majors and 11 mixed doubles majors. There have never been two bigger tennis stars to come out of Australia than Rod Laver and Roy Emerson. Laver still holds the record for most men's singles titles ever with 200. He is the only player male of female to win the Grand Slam (all four majors in one season) twice. He finished with 11 singles major titles. Emerson won 12 singles majors and 16 doubles majors along with 8 Davis Cups for his nation. Owen Davidson another Aussie won 10 mixed doubles majors most of which came with partner Billy Jean King. Bob Lutz from San Clemente CA won five doubles majors in his career. Marty Riessen won 7 mixed doubles majors all but one of these playing with Margaret Smith Court.

Bruce Tennen's passion for Tigers baseball as a boy eventually lead him to pursue a career in the sports industry covering Arizona teams as an AP journalist in the late 70s and working in the front office for the San Diego Clippers in the early 80s. He would later move on to a successful career in mortgage banking arranging credit and acquisition funding for numerous Pistons players executives and broadcasters. Bruce has been fortunate enough to build relationships with dozens of professional athletes and team executives giving him the connections necessary to build his impressive collection.
