This is a neat lot of (5) 1970's publications from the long-defunct American Basketball Association one of the most significant former leagues in the history of professional sports and a major collectible aspiration for generations of fans. All of the pubs came from the personal collection of famed sports columnist Pete Vecsey whose role is noted in several personalized autographs in the group. The key item is a 1975-76 Sporting News ABA Guide a marquee publisher and iconic newsstand presence across the country. The offered pub is 5-by-6 ½ inches and 276 pages with cover described as Fair due to one torn section and most inside pages Excellent. There are around a dozen autographs from legendary ABA figures most notably Artis Gilmore Bob Netolicky Billy Knight and Roger Brown and several include personalizations to Vecsey. The rest of the lineup includes: 1) 1970-71 ABA Pictorial 8 ½-by-11 inches and 50 pages - Very Good; 2) 1971 ABA All-Star Yearbook 8 ½-by 11 inches and 40 pages - Excellent; 3) 1972-73 Dallas Chaparrals Yearbook 8 ½-by 11 inches and 40 pages - Near-Mint; and 4) 1974-75 Utah Stars Press Guide 8 ½-by 6 inches and 52 pages - VG-Ex. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Peter Vecsey Collection.
