An interesting lot of (32) autographed 6-1/2” by 3-1/2” First Day Covers postmarked September 24, 1969, commemorating the Centennial (1869-1969) of baseball. These commemorative items average NM or better condition with minimal wear. Signatures of baseball luminaries that grace the (32) covers average 8-9/10 in strength. Many of the signatures are accompanied by notations referencing a specific notable event or achievement the respective signer was associated with and several are multi-signed. Individual signatures with notations include; Don Drysdale (2), Dale Long, Joe Oeshger, George Burns, Johnny Vandermeer, Glenn Wright, Johnny Nuen, Ernie Shore, Rube Marquard, Joe Bouman, Ron Hansen, James Cooney. Individual signatures without notations iclude; Robin Roberts (2), Freddy Lindstrom, Cal Hubbard, Ernie Lombardi, Lou Brock (2), Stan Musial, Stanley Covaleski, Johnny Mize, Earl Averill, Willie McCovey. Multi-signed examples include themes such as 500 HR hitters, 300 Game Winners, and Perfect Game Pitchers. All autographs have been inspected and pre-certified by Beckett Authentication.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
