The San Francisco 49ers were certainly the talk of the NFL for much of the 1980s and into the mid-1990s. Starting off with their very first Super Bowl win in January 1981 the organization has now claimed five Vince Lombardi trophies! This lot includes three team-signed tri-panel Super Bowl Champions footballs signed by the 1981-82 84-85 and 94-95 teams! The first one (1982 SB Champs) was signed in blue ink and the autographs are all holding strong (8-8/10). It includes such standout names as head coach Bill Walsh assistant coach George Seifert Joe Montana Dwight Clarke Randy Cross and Keena Turner. The second ball marking their Super Bowl win in January 1985 includes signatures still holding strong in green ink from the likes of Montana Jerry Rice Roger Craig and Freddie Solomon. The final ball another special commemorative tri-panel white football was also signed in green by team members including Steve Young Jerry Rice Rickey Waters Dexter Carter Gary Plummer and Eric Davis. The signatures all are holding strong and rate 8-9/10.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
