A pretty good case could have been made for Joe Torres election to the Hall of Fame just based on his 18-year playing career that featured nine All-Star nods a 1971 Most Valuable Player Award and National League Batting Title and lifetime numbers - .297 batting average 252 home runs and 1185 RBI that would have impressed for a player at almost any position but even more so for a catcher. Just for good measure tack on 2326 wins as a manager 10 East Division titles six American League pennants and four World Series. All that naturally enough added up to a 2014 ticket to Cooperstown. With that resume comes three single-signed Joe Torre baseballs one of those of the game-used variety a 5-4 Yankees win over crosstown rivals the New York Mets in a June 26 2005 interleague clash. All three balls are of the Official Major League Bud Selig variety with the game-used ball showing excellent wear and includes an inscription from Torre of NYY 5 NYM 4 below his signature. Comes with a Major League Baseball Authentication program hologram affixed near the Rawlings trademark (MR 931823). The remaining two single-signed balls are essentially pristine as-issued and problem-free with sharp blue ballpoint Torre autographs on the sweet spot. Each comes with the Major League Baseball Authentication program holograms (BB 572557 and BB 572549).
