Offered here are three separate sterling silver trophies commemorating boating and/or yachting competition held during the first half of the last century. The first trophy stands four inches tall and sports three decorative handles springing from its edges. It is fully engraved and commemorates the Amateur Mens One Mile Doubles Rowing race held during the Deal Lake Boat Races on September 1 1906. The winning two-man crew was comprised of Hamilton Drummond and Frank Beach. The second trophy which measures four inches wide by 10.25 high is also engraved and commemorates the first-place winner of the 9th Annual Regatta R Class competition that was held on August 14 1929 in Santa Barbara California. No actual winners name is engraved however. A blue-and-silver enamel life preserver is cast and applied on the center front. The third and final trophy is a sterling silver cup shaped more like a vase that stands 8.5 tall by six inches wide at the top and commemorates a 1936 sailing regatta that was won by Olympic gold medalist Owen Churchill. It includes engraved decoration around the top and additional embossed decoration around the base. It also sports a blue-and-white enamel flag cast on the center front just above the engraved text reading: REGATTA 1936.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
