The 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders set is one of the most innovative tobacco issues ever produced. Each card features two players who share a single pair of legs. When the top flap is folded down, the second player's upper body appears. The reverse displays both players' 1910 statistics, along with the upside-down image of the second player on the folded portion.

This example pairs Walter Johnson with his Washington teammate and personal catcher, Charles "Gabby" Street. The front shows a young Johnson in a pitching pose, his throwing arm extended, wearing his Washington uniform with a blue cap and sleeves, set against a brightly colored ballpark backdrop. Street appears on the reverse, along with the "Base Ball Folder Series" statistics panel and the Mecca Cigarettes "Perfect Satisfaction" advertisement.

Johnson's 1910 record, printed on the back, shows 25 wins and 313 strikeouts, a performance that helped establish him as the most dominant pitcher of his era. He went on to win 417 games and throw 110 shutouts, and he was one of the five original inductees into the Hall of Fame in 1936. Street is remembered not only as Johnson's batterymate but also for famously catching a baseball dropped from the top of the Washington Monument in 1908. He later managed the St. Louis Cardinals to the 1931 World Series title.

This example presents with excellent eye appeal, bright colors, crisp detail and clean borders. Light wear to the corners and along the fold is consistent with the grade, and the reverse is clean and well printed. A wonderful example of a Walter Johnson double folder. Graded EX 5 by PSA.
