The Hires set was a regional issue distributed in cartons of Hires Root Beer, with each card attached to a tab offering membership in the "Hires Baseball Club." Because the vast majority of tabs were torn away by young collectors, intact examples are significantly scarcer than detached cards, and high-grade tabbed examples are especially difficult to locate.

The front showcases a vivid color image of Aaron kneeling on one knee with a bat in hand, wearing his Milwaukee Braves uniform and set within a wood-grain frame. The colors are bright and the image is sharp, while the yellow tab presents clean with bold red text. The reverse retains strong contrast and includes an informative biography highlighting Aaron's 1957 National League MVP season, when he led the league in home runs and RBIs and propelled Milwaukee to a World Series title over the Yankees. The "MC" qualifier denotes a miscut, visible in the angle of the tab, yet the card itself presents with outstanding overall eye appeal for the grade.
