The rookie card of the greatest defensive third baseman of all time, this 1957 Topps #328 introduces a smiling, 20-year-old Brooks Robinson in his Baltimore Orioles cap. The clean portrait design, with "Brooks Robinson" printed in red and blue lettering beneath his image, captures the youthful "Human Vacuum Cleaner" at the very start of a remarkable 23-year career spent entirely in Baltimore. The reverse recounts how scouts were "wearing grooves in front of his house" in Little Rock, Arkansas, before the Orioles signed him and assigned him to their York farm club, adding that "he's a superb infielder and can fill in as catcher."

Robinson went on to win a record 16 consecutive Gold Gloves at third base, capturing the 1964 American League MVP and earning 18 All-Star selections. His legendary glovework in the 1970 World Series against Cincinnati earned him Series MVP honors and helped deliver the second of his two championships (1966, 1970). He was elected to the Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1983.

Card #328 is found in the 1957 set's challenging fourth series (#265-352), which was printed in shorter supply than other series, adding to the card's desirability. This example has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA (cert. #160333627). The card displays warm, vibrant color and a sharp, attractive portrait, with wear consistent with the assigned grade. A key Hall of Fame rookie for any vintage baseball collection.
