Beautiful Larry Kelley 1936 Yale Heisman Trophy Award produced sometime at a later date from his personal collection. Kelley was the 2nd recipient of the Heisman Trophy winning the award in 1936 after an outstanding season as an All-American end for the Yale University football team. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1969. After college Kelley played one year professionally for the Boston Shamrocks of the American Football League in 1937. Plaque at bottom engraved "HEISMAN TROPHY 1936 LARRY KELLEY YALE". Top has a pair of football players above a gold colored cup. Below is a silver colored eagle over a silver globe. Trophy sits atop a 3 1/2" by 9" base and is 24 1/2" tall. Trophy itself is very nice condition. Only a small group of individuals have won the Heisman Trophy making Heisman memorabilia highly collectible.
