Kobe Bryant the former Lows Angeles Lakers star also played his fair share of international basketball for the United States and was a contributing member of the 2008 U.S. Men’s basketball team. Those Summer Games played in Beijing China saw the U.S. men’s team win the gold medal after posting a perfect 8-0 record and ultimately defeating Spain in the championship final 118-107. Bryant scored 20 points – second only to teammate Dwyane Wade’s 27 – in the gold-medal game to help the U.S. reclaim its rightful top spot in the world of basketball.

This lot features Bryant’s Upper Deck Authenticated signed and inscribed 2008 Olympic Team USA Nike Pro Cut Jersey. A limited-edition item (#16/50) the navy blue polyester V-neck jersey reads “USA” across the front in red tackle twill letters outlined in gray and white with Bryant’s uniform number “10” positioned immediately below that in white tackle twill numbers outlined I gray. The XL jersey (size 50) includes a small red white and blue embroidered U.S. flag positioned on the upper left chest. TEAM USA and Team Nike tagging is located on the left front tail. “GAMES OF THE XXIX OLYMPIAD” is embroidered in gold right above the manufacturer’s tagging. On the reverse is his last name “BRYANT” stretched across the shoulders in navy blue tackle twill outlined in gray while his uniform number “10” appears in the center of the back of the jersey in white tackle twill outlined in gray. Bryant signed the front of the jersey in silver paint pen and added the inscription: “08 USA GOLD.”
