Beautiful condition fight program to the World's Heavyweight Championship bout between Champion Joe Louis and former Champion Max Schmeling on June 22 1938 at Yankee Stadium in New York City. Schmeling had defeated Louis in their first meeting two years earlier by knock out in the 12th round. This time around Louis would go after the former champ with savage fury winning the bout by TKO about 2 minutes into the first round. Program retains bright vibrant color with strong picture images. Inside is very clean and loaded with pictures biographies records articles and numerous interesting picture images. One small ding at the center lower front edge. The only marks inside the program are 4 "X's" in pencil next to 4 under card bouts winner's names. Also included is a 5" by 5 3/4" black & white photo taken at the June 18 1941 Joe Louis vs Billy Conn fight plus the original negative.
