Interesting trophy bat from the 1908 Harvard university baseball team. The members of the team were: Frank (Buster) Donovan Carl Griswold Harry Ward Jack Burns Jim Ward Marion (Willy) Green Ben Segar umpire Michael Ward manager Jay Fogelson Lloyd Parks L.J. (Pete) Griswold Chester Atkins Lossie Burns. 2 5/8" by 1 1/8" "H. U. B. B. C. 1908" stamped metal plaque. Pair of 1/2" metal bands used to support the cracked from handle to barrel bat. Heavy bat is 34 1/2" longs and weighs 54 ounces. Also included are: an actual unused photo postcard of the 1908 Harvard team a period 7" by 9" photo of a game in progress at the Harvard baseball field a 3 1/8" by 5 3/8" Harvard period fringed pennant/blanket and a photocopy of the June 18 1908 Harvard - Yale baseball game program. Harvard won the series with Yale that year.
