Official Eastern League(Richardson) baseball signed by 19 members of the 1939 Williamsport Grays and Hall of Fame pitcher Chief Bender who was working as a scout for the New York Giants at the time. All have signed in the same 2-6/10 black ink. Bender is 5/10. Players are: Bettencourt Blumette Brancato Cohen Cotelle(SS) Gilvary Gray Hankins Harris Kyle NcCrabb McManus McNamara Page Rhein Richardson with 2 unidentified due to lightness of signature. An unknown hand has written "July 19 1939" to the left of the sweet spot. Ball has soiled somewhat but still retains good stamping with most of the autographs easily readable.
