From one of the most exciting college football players ever comes this exquisite Texas A&M replica helmet signed and inscribed by the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner and future NFL Quarterback Johnny "Football" Manziel. The Riddell helmet comes in beautiful A&M maroon with white lettering on the sides all providing an appropriate backdrop for a thick silver Sharpie autograph from Manziel. Adding to the appeal of this piece are the awesome inscriptions Johnny Football has provided on the right side boasting his incredible 2012 stats awards and accolaDes: "3706 pass YDs 26 pass TDs 1410 rush YDs 21 rush TDs Johnny FB Heisman '12 Cotton Bowl MVP Gig 'Em!". The last one is Aggies fans' traditional cheer at the opening kickoff. What's even more amazing is that his Sophomore season was even better and he probably would have won the Heisman back-to-back had his team not played such a difficult schedule in the SEC.
This kind of artifact takes on an additional significance since the 2013 NFL draftee found himself trying to elude pesky NCAA enforcement types in the summer of 2013 over allegations that he had gained monetarily from various autograph signing sessions. Ultimately in one of the more curious if not intentionally whimsical penalties ever assessed by the collegiate governing arm he had to sit out a half of a game at the start of the 2013 season. In a very real sense Manziel pieces such as this have gone a long way to fueling the long-standing national debate about compensating top-level collegiate athletes especially at D-I programs that are making millions off them.
