NBA small forward Joe Johnson currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets. In 2014 he was named to his seventh NBA All-Star team and helped the Eastern Conference squad score a 163-155 victory in New Orleans. This lot includes Johnsons player-issued silver All-Star Game ring from his 2014 selection. The size 12 ring includes a beautiful blue stone resting on top set inside a gold star setting atop a black-and-silver colored fleur-de-lis symbol outlined in CZ stones. One shank has the name JOHNSON engraved with the NBA logo below it while the other shank has the year 2014 plus the NBA All-Star logo for that season. The ring comes complete inside its original All-Star New Orleans 2014 wooden presentation box and includes a gold plaque on the outside reading: "Joe Johnson."
According to consignor (who represents several professional athletes for marketing/selling their memorabilia) this ring was given to a good friend of Joe Johnson. Apparently the 7-time All-Star has gifted away more than one of his ASG rings.
