The late Joe DiMaggio nicknamed Joltin Joe and The Yankee Clipper was one of the most beloved players in New York Yankees history. He hit 361 home runs during his major league career and set a record in 1941 that still stands today: 56 consecutive games hitting streak. This lot features a pair of items autographed by the former pinstriped hero. The first item is an OAL (Brown) baseball that DiMaggio signed on the sweet spot in blue ink. The signature is a 9/10 in our book. The second piece to this lot is a color 8 by 10 photograph (framed 15" x 18") of DiMaggio participating in an Old-Timers Game at Yankee Stadium (circa early 90s). It shows him at the plate getting ready for the incoming pitch. DiMaggio signed the photo in black marker. The signature is perfect.
