1969 Oakland Athletics Joe DiMaggio game worn and signed vest style road jersey from his final year in baseball. In back of collar DiMaggio has signed in 7-8/10 blue ink. In 1968 and 1969 Joe DiMaggio was a both coach and the vice president for the Oakland Athletics under owner Charles O. Finley. This was done so DiMaggio could reach the two more seasons on the field that he needed in order to reach the highest level of pension payments that baseball allowed. Large Kelly green with gold trim 5" and "A" sewn on front along with 100th Anniversary of Baseball patch. Large Kelly green with gold trim "5" sewn on the back. All original numbers and letters. There is a tailored seem adjustment inside the back left shoulder area for a more customized fit for DiMaggio. Tim McAuliffe size 42 and "69" tags sewn in front tail. Jersey displays light/moderate wear. Great game worn item from a little known period of the Yankee Hall of Fame center fielder's career.
