Rare indeed to find such historic game-worn and autograph treasures from legendary NHL figures who are still active in this case the five-time scoring champion Jaromir Jagr. He won consecutive Stanley Cups in the 1991 and 1992 seasons with the Penguins won the Lester B. Pearson Award for the NHL's outstanding player as voted by the NHL Players' Association three times and the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league's MVP. Jagr is currently seventh in all-time NHL regular-season points and fifth in all-time playoff point scoring. He is also among career leaders in several other NHL regular-season statistical categories: points per game goals assists games power-play goals overtime goals (1st) game-winning goals (1st) and shots on goal.
Jagr wore this spectacular Liberty Head Rangers jersey on Jan. 30 2004 marking his 1000th National Hockey League game.On the back inside collar is the Size "58" Made in Canada manufacturer's tag. On the inside back is the original fight strap. On the front is the large "Liberty Head" logo patch in white blue red and silver tackle twill. On each shoulder is the "New York Rangers" team logo patch. On the left breast is the Alternate Captain "A" in the same tackle twill. On the back and on both sleeves is the player number "68" in red on white on grey triple tackle twill. Across the back is the player name "JAGR" in the same tackle twill sewn directly on the jersey directly below the large manufacturers embroidered "KOHO" patch. On the bottom right of the jersey back is the "NHL" embroidered logo. Inside the back of the jersey on the left his is the "NHL Game Worn Jersey 2003-2004 Season" Meigray Group patch (a wash instructions tag is nearby on the seam). The jersey was worn by Jagr in the first and second periods of that Jan. 30 milestone game at Madison Square Garden a 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres. The 15-time All-Star and Hall of Famer in waiting has signed on the "6" of his number on the back. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the MeiGray Group ("Size 56" is a typo) and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
