This white mesh gamer by CCM and Cosby was worn by Mike Gartner during the 1991-92 NHL season. Gartner who was the 4th overall selection in the 1979 NHL Entry draft spent the first 10 years of his career with the Washington Capitals and is considered the greatest Capital to ever wear the team colors. During his 19-year NHL career he racked up incredible numbers while representing the Caps North Stars Rangers Leafs and Coyotes. His Hall of Fame numbers are simply staggering with in excess of 700 career goals and 1300 career points to his credit. The Hall of Famer and seven-time All-Star wore this classic gamer during the 1991-92 season in which he scored 81 points.

On the front of the jersey is "Rangers" diagonally in blue on red tackle twill the same configuration used for the alternate Captains A and his name arched across the shoulders (and sewn directly to the shirt) and his No. 22 on the back and with the smaller No. 22 on each shoulder above the alternating red white and blue striping on the waist collar shoulders and sleeves. On the front sewn alongside the Captain's "A" is the NHLs 75-year anniversary patch. On the back inside collar is the Cosby label directly above a CCM label with a size 52 flag tag alongside. The red-and-blue stitched embroidery of "CCM" appears on the outside of the tail on the back adjacent to the black-and-orange NHL shield logo. The Hall of Famer has signed on the front of the shirt in black Sharpie alongside the "Rangers" lettering.The jersey shows game-use including stick marks and appears to have no alterations of any kind.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Gartner and a Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum Collection.
