The Pittsburgh Steelers visited the Denver Broncos for a truly wild Wild Card playoff matchup on January 8, 2012. A 12-4 record in the 2011 regular season was not good enough to eclipse the Ravens for the AFC Central crown, so it forced Mike Tomlin's group to go on the road and face a Broncos team that apparently had God on its side. Tied at 23 at the end of regulation, the game went into sudden death overtime. On the very first play, Tim Tebow threw a skinny post to Demaryius Thomas (recently deceased) who outran the Steelers secondary for an 80-yard touchdown to win it for Denver, 29-23. Certainly the peak highlight of Tebow's NFL career, the game has been nicknamed the Mile High Miracle.

Safety Will Allen was not one of the Steeler DB's that got beat on that fateful play, but he did see some game action. In fact, this offered road jersey that he wore has been conclusively photo-matched to the 1/8/12 playoff contest. Allen played twelve seasons in the NFL (2004-15), the first half with the Buccaneers and the latter half in the Steel City, and finished with seven career interceptions.

The white mesh jersey has the Steelers patch on the left front chest and his number “26” below in black. Each sleeve has a “26” in black tackle twill with yellow, white and black striped ribbing. The sleeve ends have been custom-hemmed with elastic for a tight fit. The back has “ALLEN” yellow outlined in black across a white nameplete, with his large “26” below in black. Moderate wear is evident in the form of light pilling and some puckering to the tackle twill numbers and letters. Overall, it remains in fine condition and would display well in any Steelers or NFL collection. Includes a team letter from the Pittsburgh Steelers certifying that Allen wore this jersey from 2009-2011. Resolution Photomathing paperwork confirms the photo-match.
