Pair of game worn track shoes worn by 1912 Stockholm Summer Olympics Pentathlon silver medalist James Donahue. Donahue competed in the pentathlon for the United States team during the 1912 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal. When gold medal winner Jim Thorpe was disqualified for professionalism in 1913 Donahue was declared the silver medalist. Shoes themselves are very heavily worn and are missing the laces. Great piece of early Olympic history.
