An incredible and visually commanding 1920s Babe Ruth signed and inscribed vintage photograph, produced by the New York firm of Cosmo-Sileo Co. Standing before the dugout in his classic Yankees pinstripes and interlocking "NY" cap, hands planted firmly on his hips, Ruth gazes directly into the camera with the confident, no-nonsense expression of the most famous athlete in the world.

Ruth has inscribed and signed in fountain pen across his chest, "Sincerely, Babe Ruth," with the signature exhibiting the bold, flowing letterforms characteristic of his autograph from the period. The penmanship is clean and fully legible against the pinstripes, and PSA/DNA has authenticated the signature and assigned it a NM 7 autograph grade, a strong grade for a vintage Ruth signature on photographic stock.

The image itself is a classic of Ruth photography, offering a large, close-cropped view of the Babe in his prime. A crease and emulsion crack appear at top center near the cap, along with light surface wear consistent with age, none of which detract significantly from the overall presentation. The reverse bears the stamp "Cosmo-Sileo Co., 71 W. 45 St., New York, N.Y., News & General Photographers," along with tape remnants along the edges and light foxing.

Single-signed Ruth photographs remain among the cornerstone pieces of any serious baseball autograph collection, and examples showing the Babe in full Yankees uniform with a graded signature are especially desirable. This is a superb, display-worthy example from the Golden Age of baseball.
