Offered here is Honus Wagners personal copy of one of the most prized baseball books in our hobby the 1933 edition of Who's Who in Major League Baseball. The bottom right corner of the front cover is printed with the words John Henry (Honus) Wagner All-Time King of Shortstops in gold leaf lettering. The first page of the book is signed by former Pirates Team President Bill Benswanger who gifted it to Wagner. Whos Who in Major League Baseball published by Buxton Publishing of Chicago in 1933 was the first in a series of annuals emphasizing biographical and statistical information on contemporary major league stars. It is highly collectible for its extensive selection of large photographs and as a valuable information resource. The book itself shows light general wear with the spine loosened somewhat. The condition of the book indicates that it may have been used regularly by Wagner. Awesome item originally sold in our August 14 2003 Honus Wagner Estate Auction for over $2000.
