July 20, 1969, could be ranked as the most important moment in human history. That day Neil Armstrong became the first man to step foot on the moon. 19 minutes later he was joined by his fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and the pair spent more than two hours exploring where no earthing had gone before. This awe-inspiring NASA-issued photo taken by Neil Armstrong showing Buzz Aldrin deploying the Passive Seismic Experiments Package onto the surface of the moon. This Type 1 color photo is made even more spectacular by the incredible depth it captures, with Aldrin in the foreground, the Lunar Module behind him and the United States flag planted firmly behind it. The vast expanse of the universe can be fully grasped in this historic image. The Type 1 image measures 8" by 10" and has all four borders. The reverse of the photo has the original printed National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) credit stamp and caption along with two catalog number stamps. Encapsulated Type 1 by PSA/DNA.
