The 1941 Double Play set (cataloged as R330) remains one of the most distinctive oddball issues from the pre-war era, produced with a unique horizontal, two-player format that paired a pair of stars or contemporaries side by side on a single card, connected by the "Double Play" branding along the card's border. Issued the year before American entry into World War II halted most trading card production, the set has become a favorite among vintage collectors for its unusual design and the caliber of talent it captured just before the game's wartime hiatus.

Offered here is a group of nine cards from this scarce 1941 issue, each professionally graded EX-MT 6 or better, a notably strong condition standard for a 75-plus-year-old set prone to centering issues and surface wear. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a high-grade run of this hard-to-find set in a single lot, ideal for both vintage set builders and pre-war baseball specialists
