Two of the most popular and most successful major league ball players at the mid-century mark were Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio of the New York Yankees. Mickey hit 536 home runs for the Bronx Bombers while DiMaggio set the all-time (and still standing) MLB mark of hitting successfully in 56 straight games. This lot includes three single-signed baseballs two of the Yankee Clipper and one of The Mick. Mantles black ink signature appears on an official American League (Brown) baseball and rates a solid 8-9/10 across the sweet spot. Both DiMaggio signatures are in 8/10 blue ink on the sweet spot one on an OAL (Brown) ball and the other on a National Old Timers Classic red stamped baseball.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Skowron Family. Also includes 3 Certificates of Authenticity signed by Bill "Moose" Skowron one for each ball. Mantle and "Moose" appeared at dozens of autograph shows together in the 1980's.
