The MVP of the 1972 World Series Gene Tenace wound up with a boatload of trophies medals and assorted hardware from his distinguished baseball career but its intriguing to consider that one of the coolest pieces was put together by .... Gene Tenace. Herewith we present his first baseman's mitt handsomely bronzed and firmly affixed to an attractive 71-by-21-inch paneled board and decorated further with an 8 1/2-by-4 1/2-inch brushed bronze nameplate engraved with the following: "Worn by Gene Tenace in Four Winning World Series - 1972 1973 and 1974 Oakland A's and 1982 St. Louis Cardinals. Tenace then ups the ante a bit more by including a striking black Sharpie autograph on the left side along with a "72 W.S. MVP" inscription. All elements appear to be in largely as-issued and problem-free condition.
