Gene Tenace was a vital part of the Oakland As dynasty teams from 1972 to 74 that earned three consecutive World Series titles. A catcher in 72 he was named MVP of the World Series after belting four home runs and driving in nine runs to help the As outlast the Reds in a tight seven-game Fall Classic. He played outfield and first base the following two seasons to once again help the As win it all. On July 13 1997 the team announced its 30th Anniversary All-Time Team (as voted by the fans) and Tenace was one of the 17 players named to it. Offered here is the glass plaque that Tenace was awarded for being part of that prestigious lineup that included Vida Blue Bert Campaneris Rollie Fingers Rickey Henderson and Catfish Hunter. The beautifully designed green-tinted award measures nine inches wide by 10 tall and is nicely etched with the pertinent information announcing the award.
