On February 7 1990 high school basketball star Lisa Leslie made history. As the 6-foot-5 senior center for Morningside High in Inglewood California Leslie scored 101 points as she made 37 of 56 field goal attempts and 27 of 35 free throwsin the first half! She scored 49 points in the first quarter and 52 in the second an average of more than six points a minute. Although it was just halftime Morningsides opponent South Torrance High School decided to forfeit the second half after their squad had just four players remaining and the scoreboard reading 102-24. While Leslies effort came up just short of Cheryl Millers national record of 105 points scored in a single high school girls basketball game it still made headlines based on her 101 points by halftime. This official Wilson basketball was used during that headline-grabbing game and comes with the official date stamped on it as well: 2-7-90. For any basketball fan this is one special game ball.
