The longest tenured broadcasting trio in Monday Night Football (MNF) television history was comprised of Frank Gifford Al Michaels and Dan Dierdorf. It was in 1987 when football Hall of Famer Gifford and longtime sports broadcaster Michaels were joined by Dierdorf thus returning the series to its original concept of three announcers in the booth. Dierdorf would eventually be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996. The trio would last for 11 seasons through the conclusion of the 1997 season. This lot includes an official Wilson NFL (Tagliabue) football signed in silver by the trio on the same panel. The signatures are all strong and rate 9/10. A fun historical piece of sports memorabilia for any MNF fan!

The Robert Zweigle collection represents 40 years of assembling sports memorabilia items from college and professional football professional golf and NCAA basketball. Bob Zweigle was a major supplier of promotional products to the NFL who personally attended 38 Super Bowls working closely with NFL personnel and establishing unique connections that helped grow his collection. He designed/produced Super Bowl press pins from XXV through XXXIX (the final year the NFL produced its own pins). He also designed/produced the Player Participation Trophy and Player of the Game Trophy for the Pro Bowl as well as the Arena Bowl Championship Trophy. He made it a personal quest to obtain in-person autographs on important memorabilia items at many sporting events wherein he had rare and unusual access.
