The 1965 Green Bay Packers coached by the legendary Vince Lombardi finished the regular season with a 10-3-1 record which was good enough for first place in the NFLs West Division. In the playoffs the Packers outlasted the Baltimore Colts 13-10 in their divisional postseason game before beating the Cleveland Browns 23-10 for the NFL Championship. The Packers offensive attack was led by the likes of quarterback Bart Starr (2055 yards passing 16 touchdown passes) and running back Jim Taylor (734 rushing yard and four TDs). This lot includes an official Wilson team-signed football that boasts 45 signatures from that seasons squad including Lombardis which rest right above The Duke stamping on one panel. Other notable signatures on the football include Hall of Famers Starr Taylor Ray Nitschke Willie Wood Herb Adderley and Forrest Gregg as well as standout offensive guard Jerry Kramer. The football shows some toning through the years but the autographs are all legible and have survived the past 50 years.
