A youthful and dapper-looking Sandy Koufax is pictured here admiring a baseball next to fellow Dodgers minor leaguer Jack Langer in February 1955 prior to Spring Training. This never-before-seen original photo was snapped by famed NYC-based sports photographer William C. Greene just a few months before Koufax made his official MLB debut (6/24/55) for Brooklyn. Super clean photo with exceptionally sharp clarity of the legendary southpaw alongside a fellow prospect who never made it the bigs. The image itself is 7.75" by 8.25" and appears a bit off-frame within slightly lobsided, mostly clean white border. Razor sharp corners and edges by original photo standards. The reverse has the official "WM. C. Greene" stamp with a "Feb 1955" date stamp and a Sporting News archive sticker at the bottom; pen and pencil notations identify the two subjects.
