These rare game-worn sneakers come courtesy of longtime Houston Rocket and Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon. If he wasn't so humble "The Dream" can certainly make the claim that he was the Center of the Decade in the 1990's piling up such accolades as league MVP (1994) 2-time NBA Champion and 2-time Finals MVP (1994-95) 2-time NBA Defensive POY (1993-94 and 7 All-Star teams (12 in career). Style-matched photos trace this to most likely the 1991-92 season. Hakeem did some of his finest work perhaps several "Dream Shakes" in these game-worn LA Gear Regulator shoes both of which he signed on the outside ankle in 9/10 looking black felt tip pen. Regulators were LA Gear's answer to the Reebok Pumps equipped with a similar air pumping gimmick on the tongues. The size 16 shoes show heavy game use. Both soles are starting to come apart the right being more noticeable.
