Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a record six-time NBA Most Valuable Player a record 19-time NBA All-Star a 15-time All-NBA selection and an al1-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. A member of six NBA championship teams as a player and two as an assistant coach Abdul-Jabbar twice was voted NBA Finals MVP. In 1996 he was honored as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. At the time of his retirement in 1989 Abdul-Jabbar was the NBA's all-time leader in points scored games played field goals made blocked shots and defensive rebounds. He remains the all-time leading scorer in the NBA and is ranked 3rd all-time in both rebounds and blocks. Dating from the early 1980’s these white leather Adidas (purple leather stripes) shoes show excellent game use and remain in superior condition. Abdul-Jabbar has signed in blue marker on the outside heel of each shoe. Both shoes remain with all original elements intact and are problem free. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
Provenance: This lot originates from a gentleman who has enjoyed a long and successful career in Hollywood as an agent for many well-known athletes and entertainers. His professional and personal network enabled him to amass a significant collection of memorabilia nearly all of which was given to him directly from the athletes and entertainers themselves. All of these items are being introduced to the marketplace here for the first time. While our consignor remains anonymous SCP Auctions will issue an LOA for each game used item attesting to its player-direct provenance.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
