Hall of Fame right-hander Bob Gibson was easily one of the most feared pitchers of his era. The dominant St. Louis Cardinals hurler compiled 251 wins over his 17-year pro career and picked up a pair of National League Cy Young awards for his outstanding efforts in 1968 and 70. This lot features a very rare early 1970s Bob Gibson Spalding professional model (#42-2037) game-ready fielders glove. The glove which shows slight wear was given as a gift from Gibson to the teams athletic trainer.
Includes LOA from Cardinals longtime (1968-97) athletic trainer Gene Gieselman.
