The 1960s was an era dominated by Willie Mays in the National League. Three out of Mays’ four home run crowns came during that decade, and modern statistics show him the leader in WAR six times. Famed photographer Don Wingfield has captured Mays in a classic batting stance here, poised to unleash his home run swing. The Type 1 photo exhibits a warm patina from age, allowing Mays’ 8/10 period signature to stand out nicely. The reverse has the Don Wingfield credit stamp along with pencil notations and several catalog stamps. The vintage signed original photo (5x7) has been dual authenticated by PSA/DNA and encapsulated as Type 1 with an "Authentic" autograph.
