The 1960s saw Willie Mays’ best seasons. Three out of Mays’ four home run crowns came during that decade, and modern statistics show him the leader in WAR six times. Photographer Don Wingfield has captured Mays in a classic batting stance, poised to unleash his home run swing. The Type 1 photo exhibits a nice, warm patina from age, which allows Mays’ signature to stand out. The reverse of the photo has the Don Wingfield credit stamp along with pencil notations and several catalog stamps. The photo has been encapsulated by PSA and graded a Type 1 Authentic, and the signature comes with PSA/DNA certification.

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. Prior to bidding, please be aware of estimated shipping costs, especially for large or heavy lots.
