Great looking 8 by 10 composite photo from the early 1950's featuring 9 early major league baseball Negro pioneers. Some of the photo images are ones we have not seen used before. Pictured are: Brooklyn Dodgers - Jackie Robinson(HOF) Roy Campanella(HOF) Don Newcombe Dan Bankhead; New York Giants - Monte Irvin(HOF) Hank Thompson; Cleveland Indians - Larry Doby(HOF) Luke Easter; and Boston Braves - Sam Jethroe. Photo itself does have creasing but nothing that disrupts the picture quality. Back has "1st nine blacks in majors"(erroneous statement) in blue ink and a large a bunch of overlapping 50 cents blue stamps in a 2" by 2 1/2" cluster at one corner.
