Dustin Pedroia is a hard-nosed second baseman for the Boston Red Sox who helped the franchise to World Series titles in 2007 and 2013. The gritty infielder is a three-time Gold Glove award winner with four All-Star appearances under his belt. He was the 2007 American League Rookie of the Year and the 2008 AL MVP award. He also won a Silver Slugger as a second baseman and finished second overall in the AL in batting average in 2008. In addition to his offensive performance Pedroia has been a major defensive contributor to the Red Sox.
This red button-down game-used home 2013 Boston Red Sox alternate jersey from their World Series title season features RED SOX across the chest and Pedroias No. 15 on the back in stitched navy blue-on-white tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a Majestic Authentic Collection patch with white strip tag reading 15 42 13 indicating Pedroias jersey number size and year. The Major League Baseball hologram is affixed to the Majestic patch. The left sleeve of the jersey features a circular patch that reads B STRONG honoring the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15 2013 directly above the Majestic logo. The back collar of the jersey features the official MLB logo patch and the left side of the jersey boasts a Majestic COOL BASE tag. The jersey exhibits evidence of moderate game use with heavy dirt staining down the front of the jersey most noticeably over the "Red" lettering. In the game he wore this jersey Pedroia was 2 for 3 with an RBI in a 5-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
