Don Hutson was a prolific end for the Green Bay Packers during the 1930s and 40s who hauled in 7991 receiving yards during his NFL tenure in Wisconsin. A six-foot-one 180-pound pass catcher Hutson was an eight-time First Team All-Pro selection who was inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1963.
Offered here is one of the most significant pieces that summed up Hutson's storied 11-season NFL career his personal Packers Hall of Fame induction presentational plaque. For those who aren't familiar with the Packers HOF it is a nostalgic 25000-square-foot gridiron museum in the confines of historic Lambeau Field. Since 1970 a select number of retired Green Bay Packers players have been inducted into what is probably the most respected individual franchise Hall of Fame in all of professional football.
In 1971 it was announced that Hutson would join fellow "Green and Gold" legends as a member of that elite Northeast Wisconsin fraternity. The piece is as attractive as it is significant while it measures at 11.5 x 13.5" and presents a terrific rendering of the Alabama alum. An absolutely amazing piece this one-of-a-kind artifact exhibits light wear throughout.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the consignor whose father-in-law received Hutson's plaque as a gift.
