Jeff Siemon was drafted in the first round by the Vikings in 1972 for whom he played until he retired after the 1982 season. During that time he was the starting middle linebacker in four NFC championship games over the course of five years and three Super Bowls (Super Bowl VIII Super Bowl IX Super Bowl XI). He was also a vital part of the Vikings' 1975 season of 12 wins and 2 losses winning the NFC Central Division third in the NFL in fewest points allowed (180 points) but the team lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 1975-76 Playoffs. He was chosen to play in 4 Pro Bowls. The jersey featured here is from his very first Pro Bowl appearance in 1974 ('73 season). Photo example of '74 game attached; Siemon not pictured.
This handsome gamer boasts the red Rawlings Size 50 tag on the right side of the front tail with adjacent Wm. Fredericks Co. of Culver City Calif. below and flag tag with "4 inch extra length." The blue jersey has "National" in white screened letters across the front Siemon's No. 50 in white and red screened numbers front and back and white numbers on the shoulders. "Siemon" is screened in white on a blue nameplate on back; the shirt has red and white knit stripe highlights on the sleeves. Shirt has a large black Sharpie autograph on the front below his number. Jersey shows light game use.
