The late Don Drysdale posted 209 victories as a right-handed pitcher for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. His Hall of Fame baseball career included winning three World Series titles (1959 63 and 65) and one Cy Young Award (1962). This lot features a beautiful silver plated tributary trophy/cup that Drysdale received from the Los Angeles-based Helms Athletic Foundation prior to his death in 1993. The nine-inch tall award includes special engraving on the front that reads: DON DRYSDALE Always to Be Remembered as Big DonMr. DODGER. Above the text is the iconic raised Helms Athletic Foundation emblem.
