Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers pitching legend Don Drysdale received many different accolades during and after the course of his Hall of Fame MLB career. One of those awards was the Clark C. Griffith Memorial Trophy which was awarded to Big D by the Touchdown Club of Washington D.C. The impressive trophy cup was named for the Hall of Fame legend who served as the first captain of the New York Highlanders at the turn of the last century who later owned the Washington Senators for three and a half decades. The full text reads: "Clark C. Griffith Award for Outstanding Contribution to Baseball Touchdown Club of Washington D.C. 1964 Presented to Don Drysdale." The trophy measures 11" tall and 12 in diameter across the mouth of the bowl. General handling and storage wear is evident but the important relic still presents nicely.
